Epiphytic by nature, meaning they grow on trees. These are NOT the terrestrial orchid found native to our area Grown in a chunky bark substrate as opposed to potting soil. These appreciate optimum drainage. Water thoroughly roughly once a week. Whether by bringing to the faucet and drenching, or bottom soaking in a dish of water. Always with room temperature water, never anything cold and especially never with ice cubes (as this can be a common practice) Indirect bright sun exposure is ideal. An eastern window would serve this plant best. As far as blooming goes, it will produce one flower per plant. Once the bloom fades, a baby plant will grow from the base of the mother plant. This baby will then have the chance to bloom. PET SAFE.
